God by Jesus

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 25, 2026.

God by Jesus is made to be read, not to read you. The app has no user accounts, no advertising, no analytics, and no third-party software development kits. It sends nothing to any server of ours, because we run none. What follows is a plain description of the few places your information does go.

1. What you write.

Your answers, notes, and reflections are saved on your device by Core Data. If you are signed in to iCloud, they also sync through CloudKit to your own private iCloud database, so the same text appears on your other devices. That database belongs to your Apple Account. We cannot see it, and neither can anyone you have not shared your Apple Account with.

2. Your settings and progress.

The language you choose, the map style, your quiz score, your stage progress, your kindness streak, your reminder time, and similar preferences are stored on your device. The kindness streak is also kept in a shared container so the Home Screen widget can display it. None of this leaves your device, apart from the iCloud sync described above.

3. Dictation by voice.

If you tap the microphone to dictate an answer, the app asks your permission to use the microphone and speech recognition. The audio is handed to Apple's speech recognition service, which may process it on Apple's servers, and only the resulting text is kept, inside your own answers, on your device. The app stores no audio recordings. Dictation is optional; typing works just as well. You can withdraw the permission at any time in the iOS Settings app.

4. Eliam, the companion character.

On devices that support Apple Intelligence, Eliam's replies are generated by Apple's language model running on the device itself. Your answer is processed there and is not sent anywhere. On other devices, Eliam replies from a fixed set of written responses included in the app.

5. Daily reminder.

If you turn on the daily reminder, the app asks permission to send notifications and schedules a local notification at the time you choose. Your device schedules it and your device delivers it. We send no push notifications, and the time you pick stays on your device.

6. Your age.

The app is intended for ages thirteen and up. On first launch it asks the system whether you are above or below that age, using Apple's Declared Age Range feature. The system returns only an age range, never your date of birth. The app stores only the outcome, allowed or restricted, on your device. If you prefer not to share it, the app carries on normally.

7. Your location.

The app does not request, use, or store your location. The map shows biblical sites at fixed coordinates that ship inside the app.

8. Sharing.

When you tap the share button, iOS presents its own share sheet and you choose where the content goes. The app takes no part in what happens after that. Links to music or podcast apps simply open those apps; what you do there is governed by their own policies.

9. Deleting your data.

In this Settings section, "Clear all data" removes every answer and note you have written, and "Clear game sites" resets your game progress. Both also remove the matching records from iCloud. Deleting the app removes everything stored on that device. To remove the iCloud copy as well, open the iOS Settings app, tap your name, then iCloud, then Manage Account Storage, and delete the data for this app.

10. Children.

The app is not directed to children under thirteen, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Because the app collects nothing, there is nothing for us to delete; removing the app removes the local data.

11. Your rights.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. Since your information never reaches us, you exercise all of those rights directly, on your device and in your iCloud account, as described in point 9.

12. Changes to this policy.

If the app ever begins to handle information differently, this page will be updated before that change ships, and the date at the top will change with it.

13. Contact.
